Ovens
Most Smeg ovens, whether they are built-in or freestanding, are distinguished by their sealed oven cavity construction known as Thermoseal. This Thermoseal inhibits or eliminates the exchange of air between the kitchen space (and adjacent cabinetry) and the closed oven cavity. With Thermoseal, the food within the oven is never exposed to the drying effects of vented air. All the moisture that the cooking needs is already within the actual food hence there is little or no need for added fats or water baths to compensate for the moisture loss associated with vented ovens.
